The cooling fins extend above the caliper to dissipate heat from the braking system. Lightweight aluminum fins have top and side cutouts that use airflow to maximize convection cooling. Graphene is used as a thermal conductor to remove heat from the rotor and into cooling fins.
The heat transfer away from the rotor and the pad surface prevents brake discoloration and deformed rotors. This semi-metallic friction compound combines the best aspects of organic and sintered disc brake pads. It offers better modulation and less noise than sintered metal compounds, but with increased durability and wet weather performance than organic pads.
