Cooling fins extend over the stirrup to dissipate the heat of the brake system. The lightweight aluminium blades have top and side cut-outs that use airflow to maximise convection cooling. Graphene is used as a heat conductor to dissipate heat from the rotor and in cooling fins.
The heat transfer from the rotor and the surface of the glider prevents the fading of brakes and distorted rotors. This semi-metallic friction compound combines the best aspects of organic and sintered disc brake pads. It offers better modulation and less noise than sintered metal compounds, but with increased durability and performance in damp weather than organic gliders.
