The BCA Shaxe Speed Avalanche Shovel comes with an interchangeable ice axe head for type 1 ice axes. It's lightweight design makes it BCA's lightest winter rescue combo package. The BCA Shaxe Speed includes holes in the shovel and axe head, as well as the hardware needed for construction of an emergency sled using skis (provided they have holes).
